Volunteering at Camp
Young Life camps depend on an army of volunteers to ensure that campers have the best week of their lives. For high school students involved with Young Life, month-long work crew assignments involve hard work, a great experience with peers and a chance to grow in your faith. Summer staff positions offer the same opportunities for college students. And our infirmaries depend on the generosity of medical professionals who spend a week serving as camp physicians.
YoungLives camps for teen moms and their children and Capernaum camps for kids with disabilities both offer unique volunteer opportunities as well.

Work Week
Each spring, hundreds of college and career-aged volunteers participate in Work Week at Young Life Camps. The purpose of these trips is to prepare camp for the thousands of high school kids who will visit each summer. Jobs range from painting and raking to construction and sewing, and everything in between. If you don't have specific skills, we have adults who will teach them to you!
Some of our camps will be hosting volunteer work weeks to help prepare camp for summer guests. Come join us!

Discipleship Focus
Summer Work Experience
Discipleship Focus, Young Life’s summer work experience, features an all-summer discipleship program that combines the real life elements of work, biblical studies and nurturing, the support of a Christian community, and the opportunity for friendship evangelism.
The purpose of the program is for participants to grow in an abiding, dependent relationship with Jesus Christ. Many maturing and teachable young men and women who are seeking God’s leading have found this program to be a life-changing experience as they have established a firm foundation out of which flows ministry and service.
Camp Medical Professionals
Young Life’s camp medical program includes volunteer practitioners who serve at camp for a week. The medical professionals and family are invited to participate in a week of camp to get a closer look at the Young Life ministry. The medical professionals provide support to our all-summer interns who are typically EMT’s or Nurses.
Medical professionals who provide medical care at Young Life camps are covered by Young Life’s General Liability Insurance policy. The medical professionals and family are guests of the camp for the week.
If you are interested in serving at one of the Young Life camps, please contact the camp directly.
How to Apply:
Check availability of openings.
Complete and submit the Camp Medical Professional Application. Upon submission the form will be routed to your first choice camp.
You will hear back from the camp on acceptance, moving your application to another camp, or asking any further questions.
