Chad Sievert

Senior Vice President, Camping

Chad Sievert lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with his wife, Amy. They have three children: Cole, Taylor, and Cade. Chad first attended a Young Life camp in 1988 and the echoes of his experience can still be heard in his heartbeat for more kids to experience the gospel today! He and Amy met while serving as backpacking guides for Adventures Wilderness Ranch in the late ’90s, and they have been a part of Young Life Camping ever since!

Chad served and led at five different camps across the country before becoming the senior vice president of Camping in 2015. Young Life currently stewards over 30 camping operations around the world, as a strategy for supporting local staff and volunteer leaders in their efforts to “introduce adolescents to Jesus and help them to grow in their faith.” Chad’s vision for service and hospitality continues to shape the culture and operations of our camp staff communities. Over 500 camp staff serve year-round preparing these sacred places for others, whether they be guests, staff, or volunteers, to experience the love of the Father and hear, “Welcome home!” Young Life camps are a beautiful example of the body of Christ in action — his embodied answer, present to those who ask, “Where is God? Does he see me? Does he even care?” Our living, breathing, washing, feeding, listening, laughing, serving, speaking, sacrificing, collective presence shouts, “YES! He is here! He loves you! He gave everything so he could be in relationship with you!” Kids are immersed in this so that they might know in the core of their being, “You were made for this.”
